Recent Grand Bohemian Autograph Collection Review: "The Grand Bohemian is a very interesting hotel in terms of decor. We felt as if we had been transported to a 1920's brothel. It is dark with dramatic colors and lots of art. The darkness was very conducive to sleep, not to mention how quiet it was. My husband and I stayed there for 3 days on the concierge level in April 2008. Much of the day we were off property. We were in Orlando for a wedding and we did not use the resturant/room service features of the hotel. The room service menu looked good by way of unique offerings. The staff was excellent from valets to security. We did not meet one even marginal employee in terms of friendliness or offers to help make our stay better in any way they could. Presentations of continental breakfast to night snacks on the concierge level were lovely as well as tasty and of quality. Check in and check out were painless. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of towels and amenities. The bed was quite comfortable. Closet space and drawers were adequate but might be a bit small for an extended stay or more than two people in a room. Being down town was a bit of a problem when we would return in the evenings. Friday night there was a sporting event and traffic was terrible at 9:30PM. Another night many streets were blocked off for some festival. There is also a lot of construction going on in Orlando around Interstate 4. I'm not sure that I would use this hotel if I were doing the Disney thing because it is several miles away. There are only two negative things that I can say about the hotel. One is concerning the hard candies that they have in a little plastic piano on the desk. There was an unwrapped one that looked disgusting. I didn't know if some kid tried it, didn't like it, and put it back in the pile or if it just missed being wrapped from the manufacturer and the Florida humidity gave it the look of having been in someone's mouth. I wasn't going to try and find out. The second negative thing is that they hit you"

    The Boheme - Enormous paintings by Elsie Ject-Key grace the walls behind the plush banquettes in this fine-dining restaurant. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a Sunday jazz brunch are served. Lunch includes attractions such as roasted-duck Cobb salad as well as soups, pastas, sandwiches, and seafood. Dinner highlights include Chilean sea bass crusted with parsley and pecorino and linguine with clams and lobster in addition to steaks and chops.

    Klimt Rotunda - Displaying six Klimt drawings, housing the Imperial Grand Bösendorfer Piano, and looking out on City Hall, this round café serves as the hotel's musical heartbeat. The style is Vienna or Prague: little black-marble tables, black velour banquettes and chairs, black-and-white tile floor, dropped, gold-leaf ceiling containing crimson lights. Music nightly. Cocktails, imported beer, appetizers.

    The Bösendorfer Lounge - Named after the Bösendorfer piano in the Klimt Rotunda, this spacious, hardwood-floor lounge serves cocktails and the same menu as the Klimt Rotunda. The bar ceiling is golf-leaf, marble bar and columns are black, hanging lights are red, and the rotating harlequin perched atop a column is multi-colored and wistful. A DJ plays on Friday and Saturday nights following jazz sessions in the Klimt Rotunda.
