Recent Econo Lodge Review: "My stay at the Econo Lodge was a night & day difference from the disasterpiece of a stay I had previously at another hotel just up the street. Firstly, the room was infinitely cleaner. Each bed had multiple pillows, all of different sizes to take care of people who needed a pillow of a different size, which was awesome, since hotel pillows is a bit of a Goldilocks situation. The bed was also quite comfortable, and I had no trouble falling asleep on it whatsoever.
One big difference for me was that the Internet access was complimentary, as opposed to the nearly $10 a day I was asked to pay for per day for the more expensive hotel up the street. However, it did get painfully slow at times. Given that I didn't spend too terribly much time in the room though, it wasn't a big deal. The hotel also had a washer & dryer for anyone who needed to do some laundry if they're going to be around for a few days. There was also a convenience store located within the rather expansive lobby for people who wanted to pick up some snacks, toiletries, or other assorted items.
The hotel was also less than 15 minutes from all the parks, just off I-4, and we had no trouble getting to anywhere we needed. There were also several restaurants and other attractions in the immediate area like Ripley's Believe It Or Not, for those who want to do something other than Disney, Universal or Sea World for an afternoon.
There were a couple of very minor things with the hotel, which I'll preface by saying are hardly going to stop me from coming to this hotel again. The door was sometimes a bit hard to open, which I was able to determine was mainly due to the door catching on the privacy bar once in a while. The TV didn't have terribly many channels, but like with the Internet access, since I wasn't in my room for very long (was at the parks the majority of each day), it wasn't a big deal for me.
