Recent Country Carlson Airport Review: "We stayed at this airport hotel twice on transit before and after the Caribbean cruise. Upon arrival at Orlando airport, there is a courtesy phone to inform the hotel of your arrival and pick-up request. You will then have to go to Level 1 (ground level) at A42 stand to wait for the shuttle. It took just around 5-7 minutes to reach the hotel but the  waiting time could be 10-15 minutes. The driver and all hotel staff were very courteous and helpful, however, note that there were no porters. The free shuttle only runs from 5 a.m. to 1.30 a.m. and outside of that service hours, guests have to take taxi at their own costs. During the 2nd stay, we were told the 1st shuttle at 5 a.m. was full but the hotel arranged free taxi to take us to the airport. Buffet breakfast started at 7 a.m. and there were oatmeals, bagels, muffins, cakes, eggs, juices, apples and bananas etc. More than adequate. For guests who have to leave before breakfast hours, the hotel provided a small bottle of water, an energy bar and an apple in a plastic bag as a light refreshment. The rooms were big and clean, beds were comfortable and TV has many channels. The hotel has free WiFi in the room with strong reception as well as 3 computers at the common area for guests to use. They even provided papers for printing which was very helpful. For the short-comings, the hotel does not have any restaurant and guests have to walk a short distance to nearby TGI Fridays or Dennya€™s for meals. Also, there is no safe in the room. After putting our valuables in the deposit boxes at the reception, we only saw the receptionist bowed down to put the deposit box away and passed us the key. Although we trust the hotel and the staff, we could not see how and where they store the deposit boxes which were very different from normal practice."
