Recent Clarion Drive Convention Review: "We came here for our 5-year anniversary. Hotel was very clean, newly renovated. The service was outstanding. We only stayed two nights, and after the first night they cleaned the room, gave us new towels, sheets, etc. Many places will not do that unless you are there for more than two nights, and I was pleasantly surprised! They gave us as much coffee as we needed for our room, and if you forget a razor (like me!) they have them at the front desk. Service at the front desk was outstanding. They even called about 20 minutes after we were in our room to be sure we were satisfied with the room and to ask if we needed anything.
There's a free shuttle for all the surrounding attractions, though we didn't use it. Many things are in walking distance or within a mile or two. We thought the price of breakfast per plate was a bit high, but there are several buffets right on I-Drive that are less than the cost of one plate at the hotel, so it worked out just fine.
Overall, this hotel really exceeded our expectations and we are already planning to stay there again soon, this time with the whole family!"

| I have been in many hotels in the area and even though this one was the best decorated and cleanest, the staff was very rude and impolite. It took over a half an hour to check in, the check in clerk insisted that he copy my debit card even though I pre paid, there were giant signs everywhere saying if you take anything it will cost you this much money, which I find tacky. And the breakfast in the morning, continental cost u 3$ per person, and like 9$ for the hot breakfast, I spent 20.00 for me and my 7 yr old to have chewy pancakes, awful bacon and apple juice (which was an extra 2$ per person) If you are stickler for cleanliness then this is fine for you, but for a family I could have found a much better deal. Oh yeah and 4 days later, they charged my debit card another $10.00 for no reason. So now I have to call them to see what that charge is for, because when I checked out in the am they said I was all set and paid in full. ???? |

| I chose this hotel because it was located next to the convention center for a show I was attending (one block away). If you want to save $ on transportation, buy a round trip ticket on Mears Transportation. Then take the I-Ride Trolley to Sea World or into downtown for shopping and restaurants. This hotel is centrally located and kept in good condition. |

| The staff seemed a bit incompetent. Not very helpful with info about the area. Only restaurants nearby were Denny's/McDonalds types... not what you want on a vacation. Had to walk to the hotel next door for a snack vending machine and to use a microwave! Every hotel should have those.... |

| I stayed here 1 night because of it close location to the Convention Center and a trade show I was attending.
First the cons: Upon check in the front desk person was not very friendly or helpful and bordered on the rude side. The advertise they have full service restaurant on site with room service. The only thing available is a very limited appetiser menu and a breakfast buffet that was only fair at best in food quality. You have to go through the buffet and take back the plate to your room. The buffet cats almost 6 dollars and does not include any juice ($2 extra per glass. They also advertise a free newspaper in every room, which is totally false. I went to the from desk at 7 am and was told that they only have newspapers at the front desk and they were already gone. The desk guy told me that they only get a limited number per day and not enough to distribute to all the rooms. I was very taken back by the overall unfriendly attitude by the hotel staff.
On the plus side, the room was clean and well maintained. The beds were also very comfortable. |

| The room was comfortable and the bed was fabulous. The carpets and room were quite nice.
The only thing that they didn't renovate was the bathtub which was a little bit rusty and the frame around the bathroom door which looked to be in the beginning stages of rotting.
What I was very displeased with was the service. They just didn't seem very pleasant or eager to help in an way. Out of all the hotels I've ever stayed at, this was one of the worst. It made me feel as if it was a 'motel' mentality. I had to go downstairs to pick up a package because they don't deliver to the room. It took 4 trips to get my stuff to the room because there was no elevator to the second floor.
the coffee maker was old and there was no microwave in the room as I am accustomed to in even the smaller hotels.
Bring you own toilet paper!!! They use this 'green' recycled paper that is just like wiping yourself with kleenex and you know what that's like when it gets wet.
Overall it was an average visit that would have been much better if the staff at the front desk acted more engaged with the guests and didn't seem so non-caring of my needs. |

| I have stayed here twice in the last year. If you need a clean room and comfortable bed, this is the place for you. it has been recently remodeled and is within walking distance to the Convention Center. |

| Not an expensive hotel - they call it a resort. This stay was a typical case of "You Get What You Pay For" - no thrills, not the best room layout, some things didn't work correctly but the hotel was clean. |
